What are your favorite roles where an actor was slumming?
Which movies do you love watching a classically-trained actor play a very much non-classical role? Here are a few of mine:Sir Alec Guinness as Obi Wan Kenobi in "Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope" (1977)Terence Stamp as General Zod in "Superman 2" (1980)Ving Rhames as Melvin in "Baby Boy" (2001). Ving Rhames actually has a BFA from Juilliard. That's how he learned to say "We have tha meats!" so well.My all-time favorite: Raul Julia as M. Bison in "Street Fighter" (1994). Whatever they paid him was not enough. via /r/movies https://ift.tt/WztOUwa
