Whatever happened to Neill Blomkamp?

I thought he was going to be the next big thing when it comes to directors.After District 9 (not seen this one), Elysuim (thought this was good) and Chappie (it was ok) - according to IMDB he only did short films for years until last year.If he's got "sidelined"by Hollywood do you think its got anything to do the with concept art that he did for alien without the studio's permission, I heard they weren't too happy about that. via /r/movies https://ift.tt/oSKzHdU
