Rise of the Planet of the Apes and the 2 following films are way better than they have any right to be. Any other prequels/spin-offs/same universe films absolutely knock it out of the park in terms of quality?

When you consider the world building, and how it really does add to the story, I think that these 3 films really do enhance the originals with their story.While a lot of sequels are coming out after a few decades, and still performing well (Top Gun: Maverick comes to mind) I can't really think of anything that has the same level of the POTA prequels in terms of success.So shoot your shot, what fits and is worth the watch?(I'd even take sequels to mediocre films, where the sequel far surpasses the original) via /r/movies https://ift.tt/l9JtWno
