When and why did you tell someone to shut up while in a movie theater?
Yesterday I was going to watch Black Panther with the misses. We get to the theater and it starts of well...people are in our assigned seats. A woman en her two small kids.No worries, she immediately leaves without me asking. While getting up she says 'I don't speak French' in English and leaves (my country has Dutch and French as its main languages). I respond (in English) 'no worries' and take my seat. Now she's sitting right next to my left. One kid to her left and the other right of her (next to me). They keep talking loudly during the ads. No problem, most talk during the ads, but the volume they were using was a great prerequisite for what was to come. The trailers start (room goes dark) and out comes the iphone. I'm getting annoyed but hey, the movie still hasn't started yet so I don't have a reason to complain. Tbh I'm more annoyed that the kid next to me has taken her shoes off and is now lying with her head on her moms lap while her feet are right next to me. But hey, again, it's a kid and once the movie starts I'm sure it'll be fine. The movie starts. They keep on talking...I'm getting more pissed. Then the movie takes us to 'Oakland' and she basically starts yelling and highfiving her kids (apparently they were from Oakland). At that point I turn to her and ask if she can please shut it, there are people watching a movie here. She eventually packed up and go sit somewhere else.Any one else felt the need to tell people to behave so others could enjoy a movie they payed for and what happened that made you speak up? via /r/movies https://ift.tt/2I3ug7v
