If you have purchased “The Last Jedi” on digital or home release make sure you watch the documentary of the making of the film “The Director and The Jedi”
No matter what your opinion on the film may be, good or bad, this documentary that was put together really made it worth the purchase. You get to see a lot of the behind the scenes on just how much work and detail went into the costume, designs, set props, just ever little detail. However my favorite part is just how honest and upfront the documentary was about the reservations a lot of people had with Rain Johnson’s vision of the film. Talks about going over budget, designers questioning creative choices, and of course the tension that build between both Rian and Mark over the way Luke’s character was written. It really doesn’t shy away from Mark’s absolute displeasure of the direction Rian took. Reminded a lot of the prequel documentary. Major props to Disney for not trying to sugarcoat the whole thing. via /r/movies https://ift.tt/2IfZ8Sx
