Why did ‘see how they run’ not work?

I absolutely love cozy murders, particularly of the British kind. Murder she wrote, Columbo, anything Agatha Christie. But this didn’t work for me. I guessed the murderer in the first scene with him based on the face he pulled. And the characters didn’t gel at all. It felt all over the place and didn’t use its amazing actors. It felt like they were trying to do a Knives Out but British. Such a pity as the premise was amazing! I saw The mousetrap last year and love that as a scene starter that’s not been done.Edited to fix some typos. via /r/movies https://ift.tt/lHUJM23
