Butterfly Effect is one of the movies where I have to feel the critics made up their mind on it before watching it. Is it perfect? No. But it's a high-concept movie pulled off surprisingly well with a surprisingly outstanding performance from Ashton Kutcher.
I just watched this movie for the first time expecting to absolutely pann it and I was pleasantly surprised how good it is. It's not a masterpiece or even as good as other high concept small movies like Donnie Darko, but it's damn good and probably the best performance of Ashton Kutcher's career. Movie no doubt could've benefited from another pass on the screenplay, but I would welcome more movies like this in todays film era in theaters. via /r/movies https://ift.tt/T9oDuw6
