Why does Gotham City look so unique and inspired by its comic version in Batman Begins, but that design is abandoned in The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises? I really dislike the change

Gotham looked gothic and unique akin to its comic version in Batman Begins, which actually made it look like Gotham City. However in The Dark Knight and Rises, it looks just like the cities they're being filmed without the Begins additions to make it look like the comic city brought to life.Why is that? I think it looked more faithful and unique in the first Nolan film, but then the visuals didn't remain the same and the city didn't even look like the same city from Begins either.
