I love "Heat" but "The Last of the Mohicans" will always be my favorite film from Michael Mann

I remembering seeing "The Last of the Mohicans" in middle school for history class. I really liked it a lot but overtime, it become one of my favorite films from Michael Mann. As much as I really love Heat and enjoyed Collateral, nothing can top this one for me. Michael Mann has made some great action films throughout his career and even if he has made some stinkers, he's able to pull off action and thrills very well.I have read the book before so I know not everything is accurate to the source material, but for what it is, I think it's still amazing. Probably one of my favorite epic historical movies ever. The soundtrack is brilliant. The writing is really good and it helped to give each characters enough depth for who they are to connect with. Daniel Day Lewis's performance is spectacular as always. But to be fair, every single performance in this film is amazing. Especially Russell Means and Wes Studi. Truly amazing performances. It's a really good movie with great action, drama and emotions throughout the film. Props to the costume designs and gorgeous camerawork. What are your thoughts about it? via /r/movies https://ift.tt/MiHeEnU
