The cut off point between The Hobbit 2 and 3 is the most awkward one I've seen (spoilers)

It's such a scam because the second movie is literally called "The Desolation of Smaug", but there is no desolation, they just show you a fight that doesn't even matter and are like "oh shit, the next fight will matter tho" and then show you the credits. You got to appreciate the cinema viewers perspective: it's a year since you've seen the build up towards the real Smaug fight, you've just watched advertisements for some random ass movies, and then the real Smaug fight happens and it's indistinguishable from the trailers you just saw. You literally feel nothing. It's not even relevant to the third movie which is about the five army battle. I mean imagine if Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone cut off right before the Voldemort fight, then showed that fight at the start of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. That is The Hobbit 2 and 3.Hopefully I don't come off as a person hating on The Hobbit just because it's not Lord of the Rings. I just think this cut off point (probably decided due to greediness) ruins the ending and start of two entertaining movies. via /r/movies https://ift.tt/2SfBBpP
