I'm Ron Nyswaner, screenwriter on 'Philadelphia' - a movie that redefined AIDS for us all - Ask Me Anything

25 years ago, we released the movie 'Philadelphia,' at the height of the AIDS epidemic. With it, we (including the cast: Tom Hanks, Denzel Washington and Mary Steenburgen) were able to bring to life the very personal, human stories of the people dying from the disease and change the conversation from one of fear to one of compassion.I've recently partnered with (RED) and Coca-Cola to create a documentary, The Last Mile, that looks at the progress we've made since the movie came out, and forward to what it will take to eradicate the disease once and for all.Our goal is to raise money to get resources to everyone in need. The disease is completely treatable and preventable, yet one million people died last year from it.Please ASK ME ANYTHING about the movie and join us by making a donation to at red.org/cocacola. Together, we can #EndAIDS.HEY EVERYONE -- IT'S BEEN GREAT TALKING TO ALL OF YOU ABOUT THE MOVIE. BE SURE TO CHECK OUT THE LAST MILE. GOING TO LUNCH NOW. AND CHILDHOOD FRIEND -- GET IN TOUCH!Also - watch the film here and share with a friend: https://ift.tt/2Q8pbmT https://ift.tt/2RqcjoP via /r/movies https://ift.tt/2zxIg7V
