What did you think of Joe Dante's film "Small Soldiers" (1998)?

I've always enjoyed this film quite a lot, loved the soundtrack as well. I always thought it was underrated because it doesn't get mentioned alot, which is a shame because look at this cast: Tommy Lee Jones, Frank Langella, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Christina Ricci, Gregory Smith, Kirsten Dunst, Jim Brown, Denis Leary, David Cross, Jay Mohr, Dick Miller, Phil Hartman, Ernest Borgnine, Kevin Dunn, Clint Walker, Harry Shearer, Robert Picardo, Michael McKean, Bruce Dern, Ann Magnumson & George Kennedy, that's a great cast for a film like this, then again, Joe Dante had great casts in his films The Burbs, The Howling & Gremlins 2, what did you think of the film? And which group of toys did you like more: The Commando Elite or the Gorgonites?I thought the Commando Elite were badasses, even though they were clearly the villains in the story, they were pretty cool & they had some great one-liners. When I was younger, I wished that I had both The Gorgonites, the Elite and the cupboard from the film 'The Indian in the Cupboard'. I feel like those films & the first two Toy Story films made having action figures look so cool, it's kind of a shame that toys & action figures aren't as popular as now as they were back then. What did you think of the film? Favorite characters or quotes in the film? via /r/movies https://ift.tt/FJ4zZNn
