Universal could have made a cinematic universe with the 1999 Brendan Frasier Mummy series.
It's pretty straightforward. Mummy and Mummy 2 were both pretty successful and fun movies. Universal tried to make a Scorpion King movie as a spinoff with The Rock, but they could have easily made an entire franchise of Brendan Frasier and his family fighting the other Universal Monsters.Granted, nobody really tried the whole "cinematic universe" thing before Marvel did... Except... Universal back in the 30s and 50s. If they had copied their marketing strategy from back then to the early 2000s, they could have easily been the first to make the cinematic universe possible for the 21st century.Thoughts? via /r/movies https://ift.tt/3pIJ8kQ
