Boss Level (2021) is an exciting, fun and surprisingly emotional movie that deserves more praise (Mild spoilers in description)

This movie seemed to come out with little to no fanfare. I've seen it twice now and loved it both times. Free Guy seemed to be loved on Reddit but I honestly thought it was poor, this was just like a jacked up Free Guy to me. The car chases are incredibly well filmed and whilst the CGI is shaky at times (probably due to low budget), the action is always entertaining at the least. Frank Grillo is really natural in the heaver, emotional scenes in the movie too, haven't seen him in much drama but would love to see him in more after seeing this. Mel Gibson hams it up a bit in the villain role but it's still a pretty fun villain, although a bit generic. Overall, I'm rambling but I genuinely think this movie is underappreciated and great. Plus, that scene where the henchman gets a sword straight through the dome and stumbles around asking if anyone smells muffins is hilarious. via /r/movies https://ift.tt/3pPwaBL
