With Bond 25: No Time to Die next year, Daniel Craig will not only be the actor longest in character of James Bond (14 years), but also the first to have movies spanning over 3 decades.
Daniel Craig will be 14 years as James Bond, from 2006 to 2020. The second longest a James Bond actor was in the role was Roger Moore from 1973 to 1985 (12 years), despite starring in a total of 7 movies, 2 more than Craig. We're not considering the non official 1983 return of Sean Connery.Craig will also be the first to have James Bond movies spanning over the 3 decades (00s w/ CR & Qos, 10s w/ Skyfall & SPECTRE & 20s NTTD). Connery (60s & 70s), Moore (70s & 80s) & Brosnan (90s & 00s) had movies spanning over two decades, and Lazenby (69) & Dalton (87 & 89) only one.I'd also want to point out that the gap between SPECTRE & NTTD is the biggest gap (5 years) between James Bond movies of the same actor. The only gap that's bigger is the one between Dalton's last (License to Kill 89) and Brosnans first (GoldenEye 95).Another interesting fact is that the 2010s are the first decade in Bond history that only have 2 movies. The 60s had 6, the 70s 5, the 80s 5, the 90s 3 and the 2000s also 3. via /r/movies https://ift.tt/2L8phq2
