Whiplash still is one of the best movie endings I've ever seen.
Rewatched it last night and damn. That whole, what, last 15 minutes? Is so gripping. The moment Andrew goes back on stage, starts playing and doesn't stop; the lights fade and he keeps going. His father scared of him, while Fletcher's turn of personality like a goddamn super villain watching his apprentice embrace the dark - "I did it."And it builds and builds as Fletcher finally mouths "good job" and the movie ends.
