With less than a week left until Christopher Robin. Let’s revisit the forgotten 2011 classic: Winnie the Pooh

Think back to the summer of 2011, what was the film everyone was hyped for: Harry Potter DH Part 2. This film made bank at the BO and any film released that weekend as well had no chance. One of those films was (2011) Winnie the Pooh. A film that is forgotten due to the fact of Harry Potter, it makes sense that it would. Many people think that Princess and the Frog was the last 2d animated film: no it was actually this one. Before I continue, I know there are a people that do know about it, but a lot of people don’t know it exists as well. So now let’s look at the strengths and weakness of this film:StrengthsThe songs: Not a lot of people know this but the Lopez’s (the people who wrote the Frozen songs) wrote the Winnie the Pooh songs. They are really great and are on par to the Sherman brothers. Examples include the Hunny song or the Backson song. Go to ITunes if you want to check them out. Also if it weren’t for this movie, Disney would have not noticed the Lopez’s because Disney was so impressed ended up pitching Frozen to them. The Animation: it’s just like the original shorts and ir’s Wonderful to see 2D Disney films, wish there were more. The stories: The stories are told really well and are classic to Winnie the PoohJohn Cleese is the NarratorThere are 2 weakness though and that it is way too short only 63 minutes. Also the Pop Song at the end credits (So Long) by Zooey DeschanelGo check it out before CR comes out. via /r/movies https://ift.tt/2Lv5svw
