Is the mediocre "de-aging" in The Irishman impossible to get over for anyone else?
I'm trying. I'm currently trying for a third time since the movie released to "get into" the film but I can't. The acting, story, directing, etc... is the usual Martin Scorsese perfection but any time I see a de-aged Robert De Niro it takes me completely completely out. It's 100% obvious I'm looking at an old man with a Snapchat filter over him. Between how he walks, moves, talks it's so obvious it's an old man pretending to be 30-40 years younger. It just looks SO bad and honestly makes me wish they used multiple actors to play different portions of Robert's character. This is coming from a Scorsese fanboy that likes EVERYTHING he's done but I just can't get over the creative choices made. via /r/movies https://ift.tt/XqYle7P
