I did not expect Evil Dead to be so horrific

I don't know why, but I'd got it in my head that Evil Dead was more of a horror+comedy, with a mix of violence and humour (like Scream)It was not. Holy crap that was an insane 90 minutes. Pretty much right from the start it's very suspenseful. You know it's all going to go wrong and every second it's just edge of your seat waiting for it to happenAnd then the zombies show up and it's brutal as hell. Just really excessive gore mixed with the psychological horror aspect of having to potentially kill your friends.It also struck me that this is the first time I've ever seen a dismembered body in a movie or show. Somehow made it over 20 years without seeing that, and now I have.It's a fantastically made movie but man it's also ruined my whole evening lol. via /r/movies https://ift.tt/tnLkfdB
