Bladerunner 2049 Question (spoilers)

Just saw Bladerunner 2049 and my wife pointed something out to me. There are a lot of biblical references in both movies. But one I missed was the name Rachel.(spoiler)Rachel in the bible is someone who can't conceive children for a very long time, then actually does.Rachel in the movie was a replicant that conceived a child. I can't help but think this is just a coincidence. But is it possible her character was given the name Rachel with this in mind back when the original was made? via /r/movies http://ift.tt/2iGxN4r
