With Godzilla King of the Monsters opening this weekend, I think this is a good time to remind everyone who may have forgotten that it's OK to disagree with critics and there's no need to attack them.

I know lots of people on the internet are young and don't really get this, but just because Rotten Tomatoes gives a seal of disapproval to a movie you liked, doesn't mean they're WRONG or PAID OFF, nor does it mean that critics think YOU are wrong for liking it.You can call them biased all you want but everyone has biases including you and I. I loved Godzilla and as a kaiju fan I am biased, and that may or may not have had an effect on how much I enjoyed it. Point is, you can't force anyone else to like a movie as much as you do, so don't even try.If you loved Godzilla King of the Monsters, don't make it your life's purpose to convince people they're wrong for disliking it. Instead, praise Godzilla for the reasons YOU loved it. If Godzilla: King of the Monsters is really that good, than the only thing that could possibly convince people of that is POSITIVITY.And let me just say this: I know you may think it's unfair for such an awesome movie to get bad reviews because that will definitely entice less people to go and see it. However, nobody sees a bunch of screaming fanboys calling critics childish names, and thinks "You know what, the critics must be wrong. Godzilla 2 must be great!" They just see a bunch of screaming idiots and that only re-enforces the reviews suggesting that the movie is that bad. If you put your energy into love for the movie, it will entice more people to see it.TL;DR: Attacking critics will get you nowhere. If you want to express your admiration for a movie, there's no need for hostility against people who don't like it. Toxic fanbases destroy franchises. via /r/movies http://bit.ly/2HMddtw
