I want to give a shout out to Searching... for doing something that most subs of this reddit wouldn't know of.

So, I've been wanting to go out and watch Searching... starring John Cho for a while now, it's only recently started airing here in Brazil, and finally managed do it today. Loved the movie, thought it was really well done and specially immersive with their use of actual real life websites, all in all it was great. But I'm not here to talk about the movie itself, but about something the producing team did and really, they didn't have to, but I'm so glad they did. If you know anything about this movie, you know it's all shown in either a computer, cell phone or video camera screen, and it's incredibly detailed with past text messages, unrelated news in the side of the local news site, opened emails in the Gmail feed, trendings in Twitter, YouTube comments and suggested videos etcThey translated everything! Like literally every text in the screen was PROPERLY translated, and not even on Portugal Portuguese, but specifically Brazilian Portuguese. I can't help but think how much extra work that must have taken, and I'd bet they did the same for plenty other languages. This can't be the subtitles/dubs company because it's so integrated in the movie, it must have been made specially for each language separately. Even some difficult translating bits were done perfectly, and took even some NBA knowledge to not translate Warriors and Spurs in the news feed haha.Anyway I'm so glad they did this, it makes the experience more complete for even the non English speakers. via /r/movies https://ift.tt/2OQYpe0
