War For The Planet Of The Apes: Something I thought about The Colonel's last scene. [SPOILERS]

To be honest, it gets even worse the more I think about it.The movie never truly confirms for the viewer if the 'new flu' actually degraded the intelligence of human beings, or just took away their speech. Imagine the Colonel, in his last hours alone, realizing he can't speak.... waiting for his mind to go away. But it doesn't.He might have killed his own fucking son for nothing, and died knowing it.That's just one of the darkest ironies I can imagine. On a more uplifting note, it was incredible to see Caesar show him mercy, and even compassion. Two things that the humans had all but lost.Wow, I love this movie. via /r/movies http://ift.tt/2gO7Xe1
