It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World is absolutely insane

I just finished watching Stanley Kramer’s 1963 comedy and I was blown away by how crazy it is. The Film is basically Rat Race in the early 1960s: a bunch of strangers find out about a large sum of money and race, backstab, cheat, steal from, and attack each other in a desperate attempt to get to the money first. It has a huge cast (Spencer Tracy, Mickey Rooney, Ethel Merman, Buster Keaton, and many more), it chase scenes, flying scenes, police after them, etc. It’s really long (2:40) but it’s a zany, hilarious, fabulously entertaining film.
