Why the hell havent I seen "Dogma" before?

Just watched "Dogma" directed by Kevin Smith. From the title, I thought it was going to be some weird European art house movie. But then I looked it up on wiki and was rattled. The cast is stacked; Affleck, Damon, Jay and Silent Bob, Chris Rock, etc. Even has Alan Rickman and Alanis Morisette as God. Chris Rock kills it as the only black apostle. I wont spoil it but its basically quest type movie involving all these biblical figures personified by normal looking people. Its Really funny and great at poking fun at the catholic Church and other obscure biblical details. Honestly Its hard to believe in came out in 1999. It almost seems like something Terry Pratchett might have come up with. It feels really Good Omens-esque.If for some reason, you havent seen it, I highly recommend it. But more likely is that Im way behind the curve on this and Im just telling you something you already know. Have a great weekend! via /r/movies https://ift.tt/2PoCrTi
